F Bar Horses is owned and operated by Amy Freeman and John Freeman. Located near Tehachapi, they board and train horses on a twenty acre property. The primary business is making barrel horses but their focus is on producing happy, relaxed horses which makes a good foundation for any discipline.
John and Amy have been developing their knowledge of the horse industry basically their entire lives. John is a native of Eastern Oregon, where he grew up in the family cattle business, spending countless hours in the saddle moving cattle on young colts. He eventually became a professional steer roper with multipled Columbia River Circuit Finals qualifications. Amy grew up in a suburb of Seattle riding saddleseat on her Morgan and gymkhanas on her quarter horse. Eventually the love for barrel racing emerged as the favorite although barrel races were difficult to find on that side of the hill and she moved to Boise, Idaho where she met John. For 7 years they ran an indoor arena near Boise, training horses and producing barrel races, team ropings and rodeos. In 2011, they made the move to California to train horses and work in the movie industry. They now have found a place that both reminds them of John's homeland in Eastern Oregon without the lengthy winter and still close enough to LA for work. They work tirelessly to provide an engaging circulum for the horses. John starts the babies and gets them comfortable in the world. Amy teaches them confidence on the barrel pattern. They work together every step of the way to engage the horses' mind and body. John and Amy hope to produce happy, confident horses that are fun for most anyone to ride. |
